Bio

It may seem to viewers of NCIS: Los Angeles that Eric Christian Olsen was an overnight sensation. But Eric has been a hardworking actor in Hollywood since 1999, gathering choice supporting roles, honing his craft and paying his dues in both television and film. Olsen’s long time fans have followed him during this time in a series of feature films including Not Another Teen Movie, Fired Up, Eagle Eye, The Hot Chick, The Back-up Plan, The Last Kiss and Dumb and Dumberer and the Six Wives of Henry Lefay.

He also played Ben Affleck’s gunner in Pearl Harbor, Mandy Moore’s best friend in License to Wed and was able to show off his surfing skills in Local Boys with NCIS star, Mark Harmon. In 2011 Eric starred in the prequel to the 1980 sci-fi horror film, The Thing and in 2012 Eric played Tucker in the widely received indy film, Celeste and Jesse Forever.

Olsen’s television credits include starring roles in Get Real, Tru Calling and The Loop as well as appearances in Brothers and Sisters, ER, 24 and Community. Olsen landed the role of Marty Deeks at the end of the first season of NCIS: Los Angeles and went on to become a regular during the second season.

Olsen was born in Eugene, OR on May 31, 1977 and raised in Iowa. He started acting in grade school and graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in child psychology all the while continuing his acting career. Eric was trained in improve with Comedy Sportz Quad Cities.
He currently lives in Los Angeles, CA with his wife, Sarah Wright and their two Akitas, Dakota and Delilah.
