America Olivio: Eva is from Mexico. She’s a very young police chief. I was told in passing on set that it was loosely based on a real circumstance where a 20 year-old woman in Mexico had to step up and be the police chief because so many of the chiefs had been murdered by the cartel that she was the only one left in the city who was willing to do it.
