SAN DIEGO — More than 75 USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) Sailors attended Comic-Con International 2011, at the San Diego Convention Center July 22.
As Vinson Sailors ventured the crowded lanes and poster-ridden signature booths, attendees and exhibitors showed support with salutes and souvenirs, thanking them for their service.
“It was my first time ever going to Comic-Con… I read about it, saw it on television, heard about the big hype,” said Lt. Cmdr. Bryan Lukie, USS Carl Vinson Principle Assistant for Logistics (PALS) officer.
As the day went on Sailors were introduced to media personnel and cast members of the CBS television series “NCIS: Los Angeles”.
