Volume 1

Edition 4

It’s our first BIG Decidedly Deeks contest and do we have a fun one!!  We want you to channel the inner poet or wordsmith in you and write a Haiku about Deeks!

Haiku is a form of poetry, first made popular in Japan over 300 years ago, and has since become appreciated worldwide. The challenge is to convey a vivid image in only 17 syllables.  Haiku in English consist of three unrhymed lines of seventeen syllables arranged in five, seven, and five.

A Deeks’ Haiku can describe anything about the man, or a Deeks’ scene in a particular episode or something he would say or think.  It shouldn’t be complicated or hard to understand but it should appeal strongly to one of the five senses.

Here’s an example and my Haiku dedicated to the final episode of Season Four:

Loved you for so long

I couldn’t say what I meant

Until I kissed you
