Interesting press release. What interests me most is “Callen realizes he has very little in common with his partner”.
By partner do they mean Sam – which would be a very off the wall character development but could happen after another traumatic experience for the pair (Sam’s shooting).
Or, do they mean Callen’s partner as in girlfriend, as in Joelle? I am still holding out hope that they split up to allow another woman in, one that has connections to someone from his past (as indicated in early S6 interviews with both Shane Brennan and Chris O’Donnell).
I’m also intrigued by JPKs tweet on 14 Feb “E617 introduces a character in a Blaze of glory and support of our #NCISLA team…she isn’t a puppet, she’s a smart cookie! #jpkteaser TRUTH”
I know, i’m probably grasping at straws – my imagination runs away with me…
I wonder if this character is a robot? Dog?
I maybe wrong but I thought JPK said Joelle was the love interest for Callen. I agree, though, Callen just now figures out he doesn’t have anything in common with Sam???? Hopefully it is Joelle and this is the beginning of the end for them. I don’t think they fit together IMO. It will be interesting to see how Sam comes back. He seems like the “stable” one, the one the team looks to for reassurance sometimes.
I agree with the above comments. Sam and Callen have been partners for years so for Callen to just now realize they have little in common is unbelievable. I’m not a big Joelle fan so maybe this will be the beginning of the end for them.
They are good at making you think one thing and it ends up being something else. Will be interesting to see just what that means. But you guys are right about the surprise romance with someone related to a person from Callen’s past. Isn’t her name suppose to be Katie? Could be a relation of Arkady’s. I’ve been waiting all season for this. Can’t wait. I am surprised that Sam is back to work so soon. Something’s got to give, but I find it hard to believe it’s Sam that Callen realises he has nothing in common with. They’re brothers in arms, partners with banter that entertains us each week.
I agree with all these comments, especially about the fact Joelle is not the right person for Callen – and vice versa.
I do think Joelle, unfortunately is the one related to Arkady(I think there was some miscommunications in those press releases). Seems they think tying her to someone we like will rub off…No!
I do wonder if this is the episode with the bull riders, who tweeted pics with the cast. So maybe the “little in common” has something to do with that.
DEA and no Talia? *sigh* Disappointed, I was really hoping she will return.
Team worried about Sam?
Well….
Do someone remember, how team “worried” about Deeks, when he come’s back after Sidorov?
If I remember correctly, Callen & Sam don’t cares about him, only Kensi.
Callen only care was, if he is ready for action, nothing more, no extra support from him.
At the end, he try send Deeks home, he questioned he’s ability to work.
So, why someone expect some different for Sam?
Yeah, Sam is his partner, and?
I want see Callen’s fair play, and how different he will be, when something going on with Sam.

Only love live what I am interested, is Densi.
Others is just junk for filling stories, and for pretending Callen’s “adult actions”.
IDA. They care but they don’t always just bear their emotions as such. Their teasing of Deeks show they care. They won’t break out in a heart to heart because that is just not them.
Callen was rough in that scene but needed Deeks to realize that being half in was not an option. Deeks had to want it, fight for it, for everyone involved.
