This is a real hard task! There are so many wonderful Callen moments.
I must say that some of the best are the one’s in which he is alone and on an emotional rollercoaster. Like watching the film or looking through the papers Hetty gave him and finally finding a picture of his mother.
But….All these moment wouldn’t be so amazing if Chris wasn’t such a wonderful actor. He can really pull off these emotional scenes and doing it
all on his own, no others in sight!
I agree with you. It’s not action or romance (especially not romance) that makes this show my favourite. It’s Callen / Chris and these emotionally charged moments.
My second most favourite moments are Callen’s discussions with Hetty. Sadly, there have been only very few of them lately.
I love these moments with Hetty too, they can have a real intimate quality.
I forget to mention one thing in my first comment.
In all these emotional scenes like the film or finding his mother’s photo there is no conversation. There is no speech in his first visit to the Rostoff house after Alina’s death nor in the moment he comes in the house after Hetty bought it for him.
Chris can only use his bodylanguage and his facial expression to convey the essence of these scenes. He does that magnificently.
So true Caroline. Whenever you get a chance to rewatch those scenes it is the first thing that comes to mind – he doesn’t have to say a word to show his emotions.
I could have chosen 10 on this list. Seasons 5 and especially season 6 had a lot of great Callen moments. I especially enjoy the Callen/Hetty moments.
So tough to decide…looks like most of my choices are different to most fans though!!! There are so many Callen moments, the choice it too much!
Thank you for all you work but you misunderstood something.
It is called ‘multiple choice’ and NOT ‘multiple torture’. But this is what you do to us coz we are only allowed to choose 5?!
🙂
Multiple torture, LOL!
lol I think that without the limit of 5 I would choose all! So many wonderful scenes, and great interpretations… As you, I love these intimate scenes when Callen is alone and let us catch a glimpse of the rock n roller coaster of his emotions without a word. But how to forget about the epic conversations with Hetty, the banter with Sam, and the defiant, insolent, rebellious Callen when confronting authority?
Impossible to choose!
